CLUB ARTICLE
1997 Fall issue of the WBH magazine The members
of the Ojibwa Bowhunters of Milwaukee, Inc. would like to tell you of our
instinctive club's 50 year history and some of our future plans. The club
was started on January 12, 1945, by a group of employees of Globe Union
of Milwaukee. They named the club the Globe Archers. Membership grew to
42 members by 1946 when a 30 acre wooded pasture was leased in the town
of Sussex. The club kept growing and in January 1947 the club voted to
incorporate under the name of The Ojibwa Bowhunters of Milwaukee, Inc.
